Curbside Pickup Service

Poudre River Public Library District is committed to providing customers expanded access to digital resources and safe access to physical materials through a limited curbside pickup service.

Curbside pickup is offered for hold materials at all three libraries along with curbside pickup of small print requests. Use the online form to submit a print request.

9:00 am - Noon

No curbside pickup service

To support social distancing efforts, libraries are operating with limited staff. Wait times for holds placed online may take longer than usual. Thank you for your patience.

Curbside Pickup Procedures

  1. PLACE your items on hold.
    • Use our online catalog to search for items and place a hold on the ones you want.
    • Need help placing a hold? Call the Answer Center during their available hours.
    • You will be notified via email when your hold is ready. Wait times for holds placed online may take longer than usual due to limited staffing. Thank you for your patience.

  2. WATCH for an email notification that your hold items are ready for pick up.

  3. VISIT your chosen library location and CALL the library to let them know you've arrived.
    • After you receive your holds pickup notification, drive/bike/walk over to your chosen library location.
    • Be sure to have your library card barcode number available.
    • When you arrive, please remain in your vehicle and call the library's curbside pickup phone number
      • Old Town Library: 970-416-8051
      • Council Tree Library: 970-416-8050
      • Harmony Library: 970-829-0760
    • Staff will verify your library card information, pull your items, check them out to you, and place them on the pickup table.
    • Wait times for holds to be checked out to you will vary. Libraries are working with limited staff due to health and safety requirements. Thank you for your patience.

  4. PICK UP your items.
    • Holds will be placed on a table outside of the building for contactless pickup.
    • Outdoor signage at the library will guide you to the pickup area.
    • A hold pick up slip with your initials (Last, First Middle) will be included with your items.
    • Please wait for staff to leave the pickup area before approaching the table.
    • Grab your items and enjoy!

Please practice safe physical distancing when using curbside pickup. We also request that you wear a face covering.

Frequently Asked Questions

Curbside pickup is for customers with physical materials on hold at a library location (and for pickup of small printing requests submitted online).

Please wait to receive your email notification saying that your materials are ready. Then, go to your library pickup location - signage will direct you to the pickup area. Please bring your library card number with you.

Once you've arrived, call the number on the sign and a friendly Poudre Libraries team member will:

  • Verify your library card number
  • Pull your holds materials ad check them out to you
  • Bring your materials outside to the pickup table. Your bag will have a check out slip with your initials (Last, First, Middle) stapled to the bag.

You can drive, walk, or bike away and enjoy your new materials.

Poudre Libraries will adhere to, and follow, current orders and guidelines from governing authorities. Our process has been reviewed by the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment.

Yes. If you are picking up holds for multiple people, please let library staff know when you call the curbside pickup number. Staff will check out items separately and place them on the table outside for pickup.

In place of a library card or library card number, you will be asked to verify your account information and may be asked for a photo ID.

If you are picking up items for another person, you must have their library card number - the IDs of people who are not present will not be accepted.

If you don't have a mobile phone to notify staff that you have arrived to pick up your holds, you can call the Answer Center at 970-221-6740 or email them using the online form before you leave for the library to pick up your materials. The Answer Center will verify your library card / account information and pass it along to library staff to process your items.

Yes, you may return your items in our manual book drop.
