Poudre River Public Library District is committed to providing customers expanded access to digital resources and safe access to physical materials through a limited curbside pickup service. Library buildings remain closed.
Curbside pickup is offered for hold materials at all three libraries along with curbside pickup of small print requests. Use the online form to submit a print request.
Please note: Curbside pickup hours will change on July 13 when we reopen our buildings to Grab-and-Go service.

To support social distancing efforts, libraries are operating with limited staff. Wait times for holds placed online may take longer than usual. Thank you for your patience.
Please practice safe physical distancing when using curbside pickup. We also request that you wear a face covering.
Remember: Library buildings remain closed to the public. Lobbies, restrooms, computers, and other spaces are not accessible.
If you have questions about your library account, how to place holds, or other library services, please call the Answer Center (970-221-6740).
Curbside pickup is one of the first steps in Poudre River Public Library District's phased reopening plan. When your hold is available you will be able to pick up your item(s) at Old Town Library or Council Tree Library. Harmony Library begins curbside service on June 1. Curbside pickup is contactless, and prioritizes the safety of you and our staff while making physical library materials available.
Curbside pickup is for customers with physical materials on hold at a library location.
Please wait to receive your email notification saying that your materials are ready. Then, go to your library pickup location - signage will direct you to the pickup area. Please bring your library card number with you.
Once you've arrived, call the number on the sign and a friendly Poudre Libraries team member will:
You can drive, walk, or bike away and enjoy your new materials.
Poudre Libraries will adhere to, and follow, current orders and guidelines from governing authorities. Our process has been reviewed by the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment.
When materials are returned to the library, they are placed in quarantine for at least 72 hours before being processed, checked back in, and returned to the shelf or made available to the next person. The quarantine period aligns with current research around safety.
Staff adheres to safe materials handling and facilities cleaning practices. If you are concerned about the safety of the items you've check out, please quarantine those items at your home for 24 hours.
Please do not use cleaners such as Lysol or Clorox wipes on library items - they can damage the materials. Customers are responsible for damaged materials.
Yes. If you are picking up holds for multiple people, please let library staff know when you call the curbside pickup number. Staff will bag items separately and place them on the table outside for pickup.
In place of a library card or library card number, you will be asked to verify your account information and may be asked for a photo ID.
If you are picking up items for another person, you must have their library card number - the IDs of people who are not present will not be accepted.
If arriving on foot, you can proceed to the walkup pickup area which will be clearly labeled with special signage and then call the listed phone number. Please remain safety distanced from the pickup tables as other customers will be using the space. Do not approach the table to pick up your materials until staff have moved away from the area.
Currently, curbside pickup is the only available method of retrieving your holds.
If you don't have a mobile phone to notify staff that you have arrived to pick up your holds, you can call the Answer Center at 970-221-6740 or email them using the online form before you leave for the library to pick up your materials. The Answer Center will verify your library card / account information and pass it along to library staff to process your items.
Harmony Library curbside pickup begins June 1. Items that were previously on the hold shelf at Harmony Library when it closed have been moved to Council Tree Library. Any NEW holds placed beginning May 29 will be able to be picked up at Harmony Library.
All library materials need to be processed manually. Materials will stay in quarantine for at least 72 hours after they are returned, and will not be checked in until after that period. The libraries are working with limited staff to ensure safe social distancing.
Please give us a few days and check your library account again. If the item still shows on your record after 5 days, please call 970-221-6740.
We will slowly be adding services and library access, but at this time we do not know when there will be a complete return to service even with the recent variance from Larimer County. We will be monitoring and complying with current public health orders.
Returns will be accepted starting on Friday, May 29. Curbside pickup service begins June 1.
No. For safety, we want to minimize contact between staff and customers as much as possible during these pickups and are limiting interactions to only what is necessary to deliver your materials. You can place new holds on our website or by calling 970-221-6740.
Yes, you may return your items in our manual book drop. This includes all Prospector items and oversized library items. Please do not give your materials to a staff member.
