In May 2017, I collaborated with Sarah Scobey, the Nonprofit Resources Librarian with the Poudre River Public Library District, to create a pilot program that supports nonprofit organizations. After attending several nonprofit networking meetings in Denver and small business meetings in Fort Collins, I realized that there was no such collaborative space for the many nonprofits in northern Colorado.
Did you know that more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business? And according to the Small Business Administration, these small and often family-owned companies “create about 2 out of every 3 new jobs in the U.S. each year.”
