The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado works to empower nonprofit organizations. The Foundation offers monetary support to nonprofits and charitable projects through grants, program distributions, and nonprofit loans. Nonprofits also have the opportunity to establish funds and grow their assets through an investment program. The Foundation connects nonprofits to our broader community through resources like Breaking Good News NoCo, Colorado Gives Day, and local events.

The free program evaluates 501(c)3 charities that solicit the public for funds in Northern Colorado and Wyoming against BBB's 20 Standards for Charity Accountability - a baseline set of best practices that review four key areas of interest to donors. These areas include:
